IF...your make, model, & year requires diagnostic programming instructions or if you find the programming instructions to complicated THEN...you will need to have your auto key remote programmed to your vehicle at a local locksmith. Please avoid CAR DEALERS as they will charge you for one hour of labor and it only takes 5 minutes to program. Locksmith are MUCH cheaper :)

FYI: GM made the factory keyless entry remote with FCC ID L2C0005T in a few button configurations but they are all compatible with each other.
Your old remote will either say part number 12223130-50 or 16263074-99 on the back above the FCC ID.
We test each remote before we send it to you to make sure it is sending the right signals to work with systems that use L2C0005T remotes.
MEMORY NOTE: Driver #1 or Driver #2 (interchangeable driver 1 or 2 becomes so by the order of programming the remotes): Original remotes have a 1 or 2 on the back-denoting seat memory. However, it is meaningless as there is nothing different about the electronics in regard to seat memory. The order the remotes are programmed into the car determines which will act as #1 or #2. It is NOT important to order a "pair" of 1 and 2 for it to work properly. |
