Unlocked: An item that has been used previously and has now been reflashed so that YOU can have it RE-Programmed successfully to your vehicle.
What happens if you buy a used remote that was not unlocked / reflashed?
Unfortunately BMW developed a technology in some of their key fobs that makes it impossible to re-program the BMW key fob to another vehicle unless the key fob remote has been erased or flashed. Once the key fob is programmed to a vehicle, it can only be re-programmed to that vehicle unless an erase or flash service is done. We ONLY sell these BMW remotes that have been cleared for you.
Key-Case Combo: Key and case are new. Key is uncut and will need to be cut to fit your vehicle's ignition.

Programming:
Please understand that for BMW s 50% of the dealerships will say that they CANNOT reprogram it to your vehicle.
We do sell these often and customers are able to get them reprogrammed to their vehicles.
We HIGHLY recommend that you locate a qualified automotive locksmith in your area who has the equipment to program this remote to your car and cut the key prior to purchase. We recommend you go to GOOGLE.com and type in your ZIP CODE and the words automotive locksmith. Google will then give you a list of locksmiths in your area and their phone numbers. Call them and let them know you have a VIRGIN smart key remote that you would like them to program to your vehicle's RKE system.
UNLOCKED remotes are not eligible for return -- any returns requested/received on UNLOCKED remotes will not be authorized.
