What happens if you buy a used remote that was not unlocked / reflashed?
Unfortunately Dodge Chrysler Jeep developed a technology in some of their key fobs that makes it impossible to re-program the Dodge Chrysler Jeep key fob to another vehicle unless the key fob remote has been erased or flashed. Once the key fob is programmed to a vehicle, it can only be re-programmed to that vehicle unless an erase or flash service is done. We ONLY sell these Dodge Chrysler Jeep remotes that have been cleared for you.

PROGRAMMING 3 Steps:
REQUIRED DIAGNOSTIC PROGRAMMING; available at your local qualified automotive locksmith. Please contact them prior to purchase to verify they can program the remote to your vehicle.
1. You will need to have the key cut by a qualified automotive locksmith to match your vehicle's ignition
2. You will need to have the remote programmed by a qualified automotive locksmith to your vehicle's installed RKE system.
3. You will need to have the transponder chip programmed by a qualified automotive locksmith to sync with your vehicle's immobilizer to start your engine.
UNLOCKED remotes are not eligible for return -- any returns requested/received on UNLOCKED remotes will not be authorized.
