Programming & Key Cutting Requirements:
This REMOTE requires diagnostic programming available at your local qualified automotive locksmith. Please note: This service takes 5-10 minutes. Go to a local locksmith please do NOT go to the DEALER they will charge you for ONE HOUR of labor and they tend to want to sell you one of their remotes and often will not program the remote for you or they may charge you and then claim it does not work. A locksmith is fast and inexpensive compared to a dealer
3 Steps:
1. The remote must be programmed by a qualified automotive locksmith to your vehicle's installed RKE system.
2. The transponder chip (contained on the remote circuit board) must be programmed by a qualified automotive locksmith to sync with your vehicle's immobilizer to start your engine.
3. The key must be cut by a qualified automotive locksmith to match your vehicle's ignition

What happens if you buy a used remote that was not unlocked / reflashed?
Unfortunately "Dodge Chrysler Jeep" developed a technology in some of their key fobs that makes it impossible to re-program the "Dodge Chrysler Jeep" smartkey fob to another vehicle unless the key fob remote has been erased or flashed. Once the key fob is programmed to a vehicle, it can only be re-programmed to that vehicle unless an erase or flash service is done. We ONLY sell these "Dodge Chrysler Jeep" remotes that have been cleared for you.
UNLOCKED remotes are not eligible for return -- any returns requested/received on UNLOCKED remotes will not be authorized.
- All remotes include working batteries (except case-only purchases)
- A purchased remote needs to be programmed after you receive it in order to work with your specific vehicle
