What happens if you buy a used remote that was not unlocked / reflashed?
Unfortunately "Dodge Chrysler Jeep" developed a technology in some of their key fobs that makes it impossible to re-program the "Dodge Chrysler Jeep" smartkey fob to another vehicle unless the key fob remote has been erased or flashed. Once the key fob is programmed to a vehicle, it can only be re-programmed to that vehicle unless an erase or flash service is done. We ONLY sell these "Dodge Chrysler Jeep" remotes that have been cleared for you. UNLOCKED remotes are not eligible for return -- any returns requested/received on UNLOCKED remotes will not be authorized.
