What happens if you buy a used remote that was not unlocked / reflashed?
 Unfortunately Jeep developed a technology in some of their key fobs that makes it impossible to re-program the Jeep key fob to another vehicle unless the key fob remote has been erased or flashed. Once the key fob is programmed to a vehicle, it can only be re-programmed to that vehicle unless an erase or flash service is done. We ONLY sell these Jeep remotes that have been cleared for you. 
Key : Key is new (non-OEM). Key is uncut and will need to be cut to fit your vehicle's ignition.

Programming /Key CUT Requirements:
The manufacturer s programming instructions for your vehicle make model and year specify diagnostic programming required.	
Your vehicle s RKE (remote keyless entry) System requires programming by your local auto locksmith. The procedure can be done with a scan tool /diagnostic equipment & takes a few minutes to complete. We suggest a local Automotive locksmith.
